Master the art of presentation/ Become an effective communicator. If any one single skill can make or break a Network Marketer, it's communication. There is a direct correlation between effective communication skills and success in our industry. If you need help in this area, consider reading some market leading books like "How To Win Friends And Influence People", taking a Dale Carnegie course or joining a professional organization like Toastmasters. If nothing else, commit yourself to becoming a student of effective presentation/communication skills. I guarantee you won't regret it.
Determine your true goals and write them down. If you want to join the top 3% income earners in Network Marketing you must have clear, written goals. An easy step is to use the 10 Goal Method used by Brian Tracy. Write out your top 10 goals for your financial success, family life and relationships, and health and wellness. Write them in the Present Tense, a Positive Voice (don't use, "I don't want X to happen, etc."), and make them Personal (use "I" followed by an action verb and date). Now work towards achieving them every single day. Simple right!? If you haven't already, read Brian Tracy's bestselling book on goals, "Goals, How to Get Everything You Want- Faster Than You Ever Thought Possible."
Track your progress. After you determine your starting point and where you want to go, track your progress throughout the process. It will help you hold yourself accountable and make a huge difference!
Use a whiteboard. I know, it sounds a bit old fashioned in today's information age, but a whiteboard will help you keep a "big picture" perspective on your business. Whiteboards are a proven productivity booster for strategists and leaders.
Make sure you have a solid follow-up system in place. All Fortune 500 companies have a solid CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tool in place. You may have heard of companies like ACT or Salesforce.com. As a Home-Based business owner you can use Outlook with the same results as the top companies in the world get with sophisticated CRM software. It really doesn't matter what you use. The point here is to never drop the ball and miss on the follow-up piece.
