But Seth states that no one gets up everyday, to learn that they have absolutely nada to say and as a result sits silently, for days, weeks & months up to one mystical day when the switch is flipped & the writer's block disorder is over?
So why do human beings catch themselves saying what should I blog about, and why is it separate to talkers block? The one fundamental difference; is that we without exception have things to talk about, because we are in the constant HABIT of expressing all the time.
The thing with speaking, is that we never really have to analyze over what comes out of our mouths too much, we can speak about anything, we can talk to anyone, sometimes when we speak about the same things that are of interest to us, we start becoming acknowledged as an authority in a particular niche.
The greater we confer, the higher quality we get at it & the more confident we get..can you see where I am going? The fateful phrase of What should I blog about, can start to become an opinion of the past when we engage the same goals that we have come to believe strongly when learning how to talk confidently.
Writer's block really isn't that complicated to overcome..
Whilst perfectionists among us will tell us that we have to have things just so, before we can grace OUR pages with OUR words, I am going to say JUST GET GOING. Write poorly if you have to..& keep writing poorly in public till you get start excelling at it.
Seth Godin, believes everyone should write in public, that everyone should have a blog, or use squidoo, tumbler or other platform. That if they don't desire to be known from the beginning, they can adopt a pen name & just get comfortable with their medium. I have to say I agree 100% for whenever we write constantly there is only 1 outcome that can occur and that is we start excelling. No longer will you be saying what should I blog about.
If it helps, turn of comments if you are disturbed about disparagement, but acquiring a thick skin is another attribute you might wish to consider overtime. Next, write something every day, I know it sounds a lot, but the more often we write the easier it gets & the faster we succeed. If you don't do any every single day, it will have less ability of becoming a habit.
But what should I blog about?
Literally anything..what you see in the world, what you want to accomplish, how to do something, answer a question, how you feel, what makes you tick. Not sure how much to write about? Do what feels perfect, keep your writing flowing and when it comes to a natural end..STOP! Heck even anything as brief of a paragraph is better than nothing at all.
Write like you talk. Often.
