You need to believe that astral projection does work and is a reality. You have already experienced it but you do not realize it.Have you ever awoken from a particularly vivid dream remembering every detail? You were not dreaming this - you were astral projecting.Being able to astral project all begins with knowing that this is something that you have the ability to do. Astral projecting is an inborn ability in all of us. You need to eliminate doubt from your mind; this can be keeping you from being able to astral project when you want.Relaxation techniques such as meditation can help you prepare to astral project. Meditation is one of the best ways to prepare for astral projection - the key is to find a regular meditation routine which can get you the relaxation you need.You should do your meditation in a quiet room where you have a comfortable place to sit and will not be interrupted or distracted.Start freeing your mind of worry and tension. You can't astral project when you have these negative energies in your mind.Begin to eliminate all thoughts from your mind and focus on your breathing.Focus on your breathing, which should be slow and deep. As you exhale, visualize all of your worries leaving your mind along with your breath. You'll soon be in a state of deep relaxation ideal for astral projection.Achieving an altered state of consciousness is the next level of astral projection. Consistantly breathing deeply and slowly to keep your mind clear and stay relaxed is the goal at this state.Breath in through the nose and out of the mouth which helps to slow and deepen breathing. Start with your toes and relax your body bit y bit, working your way up to your head. You can do this by either tensing and then releasing each part of your body as you go along.Alternately, visualize all of the stress and tension leaving from each part of your body as you do your deep breathing. You'll start to feel heavy as you become relaxed. After you have relaxed your entire body, you'll be able to begin the next step towards astral projecting.There are three signs to watch for that will indicate that you are beginning to astral project. One is having a sensation of motion, followed by 'seeing' light and color (even though your eyes will be closed).Finally, you will hear voices that are going to be telling you to either stop what you are doing or encouraging you to continue. When you get to that third part you have successfully astral projected. Last, you'll hear voices. These voices will either be urging you to continue or to stop - this is a sure fire sign that you are on your way to astral projecting.
