1. Stretching even at home can do magic for your height. Stretching involves primarily your vertebrae or your backbone. Your backbone can be stretched and elongated with the proper exercise thus giving you a potential height increase of 2 to 3 inches. The most effective way to stretch your back muscles is to work against gravity and do hanging exercises; this exercise is like playing on the monkey bars at the playground. When you hang, you stretch your vertebrae to the full especially if you can maintain this for at least 30 seconds. Repeat this 5 to 6 times a day; it would also be better if you use ankle weights for resistance.
2. Pelvic shifts can also target your spine and give you the height increase you have been looking for. Lie flat on your back on a hardwood floor; bend your knees together. Then Arch your pelvis upward and keep this position for about 5 seconds and then release. Repeat this movement as much as you can. Be extra careful and take note of any pain that you may feel on your back.
3. Bending exercises are a series of exercises that you can do in varying positions. You can do a full forward bend, a full sitting bend or even a side bend. All these will decompress your vertebrae and increase pressure on your spine to effectively increase your height naturally. Do these exercises on a flat surface and hold your position for about 20 to 30 seconds. Repeat these daily prolonging your time in a bent position each day.
4. Cardio training exercises can also help you in your quest to grow taller naturally. Cycling can exercise your spine and leg muscles ultimately increasing your height. Ride up a steep hill or road to increase resistance. Swimming can also make a great cardio workout, stretching your entire body plus benefiting your pulmonary and cardiovascular systems as well.
