Arsenal and Liverpool are at this time third and fourth in the Premiership, therefore the winner will acquire an edge in the competition for the Champions League spaces at the end of the season. Though Arsenal continue to be contenders for the trophy, they can't afford to let go any more points after winning only one from their last 3 league games, whilst Liverpool have just about been able to regain a top four position subsequent to a disastrous start to the season. Although Liverpool won the massive Merseyside derby at the weekend, they haven’t won at the Emirates for ten years, so they have a very large disadvantage to beat to prevail tonight.
