Over the years we have had different things in our home that we have chosen to sell on ebay and other options of selling the things in our home. There have also been times that with my personal business that I have needed to ship different items. Most people have had different times in their lives that they have needed to ship different things and needed to figure out how they are going to ship the items. Whether it is a box or bubble wrap or envelopes the list can go on with all of the different creative ways people come up with to ship their items and packages.
Several years ago we dabbled in shipping one thing here and there and just made use of the things that we had in our home. There were times that we would get frustrated because we couldn't figure out the perfect shape or size box to ship the items. There was a time that we took an item to the post office to find out what it would cost us to ship it. We then listed the item and felt that we were pretty confident that we had a good cushion on the shipping. Then we sold the item and had to package it to ship it.
We didn't have a good size box or envelope and didn't have much flexible packaging so we had to go with a bigger box and put padding in the box. When we went to the post office we were shocked at how much of a difference it made in the price of shipping. It ended up costing quite a bit more money and ended up putting some money out of pocket.
After that experience we decided that we needed much more flexible packaging. Even if we weren't going to use it too often it was worth having on hand for the times that we did need to ship items. We figured after just a few shipments that we would make our money back in the shipping cost. The other really nice thing that we have found with flexible packaging is that we can package things tighter and protect the items better. They arrive to the recipient in great condition and they feel that the packaging was great.
Everyone ends up shipping things at different times in their lives and with flexible packaging they can ensure that they can ship for better pricing and that their items will arrive safely.
