Thanks to the internet, it is very easy to find a World Ventures Meeting near your location. A simple search engine query will turn up meeting after meeting, in locations from Florida, to West Virginia, to Arizona. People are eager to get the word out about World Ventures and its opportunities.
Two products are sold by World Ventures. Dream Trips is a discount travel membership, allowing people to book discount travel, and the LTC package lets people sell Dream Trips on their website. LTC stands for Leisure Travel Consultant. LTCs are not licensed travel agents, they are only given that title through the company.
A World Ventures meeting is a chance for LTCs to show what the company is about, and sign up people for Dream Trips, and to become LTCs themselves, if they wish to do so. The income potential of the company is promoted heavily, encouraging people to join and get their piece of the $8 trillion worldwide travel industry.
Even though the travel industry is enormous, it is highly competitive, and it competes on price. A custom website and some video tutorials on marketing are not going to give you the tools you need to succeed. To top it off, people are encouraged to have people they already know visit the site, and sign up under them. No wonder people get so down on MLM.
The most successful LTCs are the ones putting on the seminars. This is based on traditional network marketing tactics. No real emphasis is put into the internet marketing aspects of the program. LTCs would be better off taking a marketing training course from a third party.
Today there are excellent opportunities to learn and become a highly skilled internet marketer. You can learn on your own schedule, even if you are already working a full time job. Best yet, you don't have to bug your friends and family to visit your site, because you will know how to get traffic to your own website. Many of these courses will even teach you how to build your own sites, instead of paying a monthly fee to use a premade template.
By learning how to be a marketer, you will never be restricted to selling any one product, or for any one company. You can pick from a virtually unlimited number of products and programs to promote, or you can even build a website and begin marketing your own business.
I personally think you should stay away from the World Ventures meeting, and instead focus on learning the fundamentals of marketing. Then you will be able to pick and choose from thousands of products to sell, instead of being stuck with MLM.
