1. Can you upload .zip files?

A. With Google Storage space you can load up ZIP files

2. Can you upload an entire folder with it's subfolders, etc. intact? I am not referring to the Bulk upload where you can upload many Files at a time. I'm trying to upload many Folders (and subfolders) at a time.

A. No you can not do this with standard Google Docs or Google Storage space functions. A program out that does copy your file and folder structure as you see it on your PC is from Cloud Hero go to www.cloudhero.com

3. If I upload my documents into Google Docs format, is any information lost in this process? I mainly using this for file storage space, so I don't really need to convert to Google Docs. But the size restrictions are more lenient if you convert to Google Docs format. If I don't want to convert, I have remember to un-check this option every time you upload something.

A. Google Storage space is a better option for pure storage. With your free Google account you get 1GB of additional "any file type" storage space. Again with Cloud Hero solution you will see that you can move a file to Google Docs or move the file to Google Storage space. This allows you to have complete synchronization between Google and your PC all the time so for BACKUP processes this will work. It is not version control backup but more close to a duplicate copy backup process.

4. This Google Docs and Google Storage service would be a lot more interesting if it offered sync with local files. Automated versioning would be the icing on the cake. Until I see those features I'll continue to pay Dropbox.

5. How do I get to Google file when I am on my PC? do I have to log in all the time?

A. With Cloud Hero has a Virtual Drive on your PC (another drive letter) that you access through normal windows functions like MY COMPUTER or Windows Explorer. When you open the file on the virtual drive on Cloud Hero's free version it signs you into your Google account and opens the file in your browser for you to work on. With the CLoud Hero paid version you access the file the same way but it will open the e directly in the local PC software application - for example Word opens the word file extension of .doc or .docx

6. Just wondering, if there is a upload manager that supports "Resume broken Upload/downloads"? It will be good if there is. This will be helpful when network failure or other special circumstances happens.

A. Cloud Hero will pick up where it left off when your connection comes back alive.

7. I've had skydrive for a long time now, but never really used it because of the 50mb upload limit. I'm glad google has a 250mb upload limit. What would be nice (and reasonable for today's technology) is a 1gb upload limit with 20gb free storage. Well my biggest need, though, is for some piece of software like skydrive explorer. Basically, mapping a drive and being able to move entire folders and files, drag/drop, etc... like it was just another folder on my PC. Anyone know of such a thing? Links please.

A. www.cloudhero.com You could try http://memeoconnect.com but they require a separate interface and application to be running on your PC Cloud Hero access is done through a virtual drive accessible through Windows Explorer.
