In this short article we're going to look at All Clad Copper Core cookware. This is the very best cookware available today in my humble opinion and like the old George Thorogood song used to say "Bad to the bone!" All Clad is bad to the core! The All Clad copper core cookware line is the creation of more than forty years of research and development in the area of "bonding" dissimilar metals and making use of the best properties of each.

This is certainly modern day alchemy at its finest! The alchemy begins using the heat transmission properties of copper that maintains heat for a very long time and heats evenly and in return cools evenly as well. This and the advantages of the ease of cleaning of pure rolled 18/10 stainless-steel and not the lesser quality 18/8 of lesser brands of cookware make copper core unique!

All Clad copper core supports a strategy of 5 ply bonding of metals. An exterior of unadulterated 18/10 rolled stainless-steel using a layer of aluminum underneath that then it comes the copper core with its excellent heat transmission and then an added layer of aluminum, finally accompanied by a final layer of pure 18/10 stainless. This stainless exterior is very effortless to clean and preserves its finish and barely if ever needs to be polished like a lot of lesser quality brands. It is suggested to clean this cookware by hand to maintain the stainless-steel shine, but me personally I haven't had any issues using my dishwasher with them.

This cookware line comes pre-loaded with stainless steel stay cool handles and copper core is oven safe up to five hundred degrees. The stainless-steel exterior is great for searing foods and then deglazing to make sauces as well as gravies!

As with anything in this world there will always be pros and cons. The pros of this cookware line are the actual fact that they're made from high quality grades metals with a patented bonding process that can not be copied. They are produced in the good old USA which means American job opportunities are being supported and an American market is being supported as well.Even heating by means of the heat conduction properties of the copper core itself. Ease of care and cleaning and they are built to last a lifetime and come equipped with an excellent manufacturers guarantee against defects in craftsmanship.

The cons are the fact that All Clad copper core cookware is rather on the heavy side, so if a person isn't used to heavy cookware they will build some muscle using this line. (this is a pro in disguise as a con!) This line is a little on the expensive side and requires a binder to owning the best! The only other con is that copper core isn't a nonstick line, so I suggest to get some nonstick All Clad for making such things as eggs, omelletes and crepes! For these kinds of tasks nothing can beat nonstick cookware.
