It's springtime and us environmentally conscious home owners have started thinking about the projects we are going to get done this summer. Some big and some small, if you are thinking that to build a wind power system at your house is a big project - then I urge you to think again.
What does build wind power mean? It means harnessing the influence of the wind using a small windmill to power your home. Seem like an impossible dream? Its Not! It doesn't matter if you live in the country, the city or the burbs; you CAN power your home for free using a small windmill.
Interested? There is a revolution going on right now. People just like you and me are fed up with high power bills. This level of dissatisfaction has brought about a whole new industry. Individuals are making their own electricity at home, regular individuals without any engineering or science skills. I know because I am one of them.
At first I thought there was no way in you know what, that I could do something as involved as building a windmill. That was before I did some research. You see I was determined to do something different, to save money, to help save this planet, and to show my kids a better way. I found some plans that promised I could build a wind turbine, with easily found ordinary parts, for less than $200.
One short weekend is all it took for me to put up my first windmill! I won't lie to you, I had some help. My 6 year old daughter and I did it together. It was tons of fun and super simple, and she was a big help. We now have a working windmill at our house in the suburbs and it provides on average about 60% of our power needs. It only took two months for me to get my cash back!
If you are thinking about making your power don't pay someone 1000's of bucks to do it for you!. If you do you are missing a great opportunity to have some fun, save some cash, and do something super gratifying for yourself.
