Inspiration nips you on the butt, and you decide to move forward on your new e business. First off, congratulations! You are about to embark on a truly rewarding experience that has brightened and enriched the lives of many before you. Many dilemmas arise. One of your first questions will inevitably be: How much time should I spend on my new endeavor considering I have so many other obligations? .
It sounds like such a minor consideration to some. If you have a part time job or simply all the time in the world, then move forward with your project. 1. Eliminate time wasters. This is job number one. Consider television as your number one offender and time moocher. In fact, throw that doggone thing out the window! If that is not an option for you, then reflect on how much tv you truly do watch (most americans grossly underestimate) and trim that to begin with. You can also find other time wasters. Find them and you may be surprised by how much time you really have to work with!
2. Prioritize. Know what s important. Also know that your family s financial future is vitally important and that this new business of yours is a worthwhile effort. Make your loved ones understand that this work is for them, too!
3. Be diligent about your new schedule. Live by your new priority based itinerary. The more you abide by it, the more it will become habit.
4. Get over internal barriers. Whether it s laziness or lack of confidence, identify your mental blocks that prevent you from making time for your business and correct them to the best of your ability.
5. Enlist the help of your loved ones. In most cases, they ll want to help!
6. Set aside a special place to conduct your business. This will be the place where you are focused on your business and little else. When it becomes a habit to you, you may find that when you sit in that place, your mind automatically locks into what you want to accomplish.
7. Define what work is. So many of us see being behind a desk or typing letters as their idea of work. But too often we forget that it can be fun too! When you are coming up with new ideas, creating articles or ads, or just plain writing something new and interesting, that can not only be intensely rewarding, but fun! Concentrate on results, not being busy.
