A low cost product such as $7 can be a great price point because it’s a tiny purchasing decision but yet the psychology of having already bought something from you works hugely in your favour down the road.
You can then create a series of e-mail messages that your autoresponder will send out to your list at predetermined intervals. If a message is time-sensitive, you can ‘broadcast’ to your whole list in addition to your pre-programmed ‘follow-up’ sequence.
You can make extra money online when you promote free offers as well as affiliate products on which you can earn commission. Your list is far more responsive than trying to cold pitch new visitors every day.
This is where Web 2.0 strategies crank into action. If you build lists of friends within communities such as Facebook, Gather, Twitter and LinkedIn, it is a small step for people to click on any link you subtly include in your posts. Offer value to these communities, with uplifting messages or witticisms, but don’t be afraid to include links to your squeeze page. That's not spamming, as long as you're providing some sort of value.
Social Media is not going to be your only means of generating traffic but don’t overlook it. There are many ways you can make extra money online by employing Web 2.0. You just need to take time out to study some strategies – it will pay off big time.
