Paintball is a war game with warlike thrill and excitement. Just as in a war you need a gun and bullets, in paintball you need a paintball gun, or marker, and paintballs to serve as bullets, along with some accessories. However, again like a war this war game can also be dangerous for the player. Air pressured guns firing paintballs can result in serious injury if you are not protected. So, you also need an elaborate paintball gear for safety. Wearing a proper gear ensures that you get only fun out of the game and not any serious injuries to spoil the fun.

To help you in shopping for we give below a checklist which you can use for reference:

1. Paintball Mask: Paintball mask is required to protect your face. Face protection is essential in paintball as most serious injuries tend to occur in the face. A mask prevents such injuries.

2. Goggles: Goggles are required to protect your eyes. Eye protection is also important as splashes of paint may get into them and cause irritation. A good pair of goggles prevents that.

3. Paintball Gun: Paintball gun or marker is required to shoot your opponents and eliminate them. They are available in a variety of types. So, thoroughly search the market and compare costs and features before buying one.

4. Paintballs: Paintballs are of course required as bullets for your gun. You have only a limited supply of paintballs during a game, so try to save them as much as you can and shoot only when the target is in sight.

5. Hopper: Hopper is needed to load paintballs quickly into your marker. It is kept where you keep your paintballs. Standard hoppers have a speed of 12 balls per second or less. For faster markers, you will need an electronic hopper.

6. Barrel: Barrel provides safety from misfires. It guides the paintball towards your target. Brass barrels are better as they are not only inexpensive but also enable you to shoot along a straight path at higher speed because of reduced friction.

7. Air Supply: Air supply is necessary for the guns to fire paintballs. Two types of air supply techniques are available- Nitrogen and Carbon dioxide. Carbon dioxide is cheaper but Nitrogen is better.
8. Accessories: In addition to the equipment described above, you may use some other optional accessories like belt packs, scopes and kits. There are some accessories to keep your equipment in good working condition. These are oil for lubricating your gun, a squeegee for cleaning the barrel, and extra rings and seals. These will give you a significant advantage over your opponents and increase your confidence in the game.

Playing paintball is a unique experience in terms of fun and excitement. However, paintball gear is quite costly. If you are on a limited budget, begin with the basic equipment, additional accessories can be purchased later on. However, don't compromise on any of the safety equipment as safety should be the top priority in paintball.

Use the list given above as a checklist, visit some online stores selling paintball supplies before you go for actual purchase, and you are ready to embark on a voyage of thrill and excitement.
