BSOD or the Blue Screen of Death, (also known as blue screen physical memory dump), is an inaccuracy that occurs on a Windows system - when the computer just shuts down or repeatedly reboots. This fault can occur just as your computer is booting up or some Windows application is running. When the Windows OS discovers an unrecoverable error it hangs the operating system or leads to memory dumps.
In the blue screen physical memory dump situation there is a complete set of diagnostic information that will get displayed on a blue screen (which is the name). You can dump the PCs memory contents into a dump file and this can be analysed afterward to figure out the root source for the problem.
Software errors or hardware errors that occur when running Windows and intermittent errors are the common causes for a blue screen physical memory dump. New programs or drivers that have been installed or changes in the registry settings are the typical s/w causes. Intermittent errors refer to failed operating system memory/ hard disk or over heated central processing unit and these too could cause the blue screen physical memory dump error.
There are various options for each of the above problems. Before trying them out though, you could try running registry cleaners on your PC. A Windows registry is a catalog of entries about software/ hardware and other system related information that the OS uses. This could get corrupted when the notebook has been used for some time. Registry cleaners can clean this catalog well and resolve this issue. If this step fails, you could try out the following:
1. S/w related error handling - If the blue screen physical memory dump happens after the installation of s/w application or a driver it can be that there is system incompatibility. By booting into safe mode and removing the software you can quickly fix this error. You could also try out a "system restore" to revert to an earlier state.
2. H/w related error handling - when hardware causes BSOD installing latest fixes for the hardware and/ or motherboard can help. You could also add new hardware that is compatible with the system.
3. Handling intermittent errors - when there is a message to the effect that "memory or hard disk is malfunctioning", you could put in new hardware to replace the defective part until the actual problem is found out. There are h/w diagnostic programs to recognize the faulty portions.
Tired of slowing Computer performance? Do you want to repair physical memory dump in cheap and fast way? You can inspect the registry in your notebook for free and fix them with the best registry cleaner on the market. After scanning and fixing your PC, you will be astonished how fast your notebook is. A good number operating system crashes are caused by registry errors and can be fixed quite effortlessly by registry repair software, however if an error is caused by your hardware device it is likely the device driver in which case a driver update is necessary.
