Job interviews are about first impressions and proper self-packaging. You need to spin a good story out of your work experience, but your story can't be too detailed or carry on too long.
Prepare yourself and make sure you can rattle off three to five of your strengths as it relates to your past or present job, work experience, and the requirements for the job for which you are interviewing.
At the job interview it is important that you use every little bit of information available to you to your advantage. If you know anything about their practices or their values, find a way to include it in your attitude. If they appreciate it, you never know, they might appreciate you enough to give you the job.
‘In all your getting, get understanding.’ I got that from the Good Book, and I suppose you can apply it to preparing for a job interview too. Understand everything that you are doing, and how it affects your performance rating. That is how you might be able to influence the outcome of the interview, you know.
As you walk into the job interview, you might want to ensure that initial impression that you make on the interviewers is a positive one. It will show forth in the way that you carry yourself, and in the way that you answer questions. And also, in if you do not allow yourself to entertain any kind of fears.
You can be rest assured at your job interview that no recruiter will take your words at face value. After all is said and done, you will be discussed and your background will be checked out to see how sincere you have been. Then you might or might not get the job.
It will be appropriate for you to know little details about the people and practices of the company you are about to enter into. Starting from the job interview, you will begin to receive tests about them, and for those you need to be prepared. It is not worth it making mistakes at any point.
Prepare good answers to standard interview questions such as "Why should we employ you?" and move forward with confidence and an expectation of success - and you WILL get HIRED!.
