Before we discuss how to make money by creating newsletters, we first need to make sure that we understand what exactly a newsletter is, and what it is not. A newsletter is a publication sent to a specific group of people on a regular basis. The newsletter is about generally covers a very specific topic, and the people who receive it, must have signed up for it, i. E. They want to receive it.
This means that a randomly sent "newsflash" about your MLM scheme to people who never asked to receive this kind of information, is not a newsletter. It is simply SPAM. Normally it will be deleted instantly, and if you send out a lot of these, people will tend to delete them without even opening the email. It will also make it harder for you to sell anything to those people, since they regard you as a spammer.
If you have a website, however, about a niche subject, for example a specific hobby, your visitors are probably highly targeted - they are interested in that specific subject. Instead of them reading a few paragraphs on the website and then leaving forever, you could ask them to sign up for your newsletter. In the newsletter you can have links back to your website. This way you create a system to turn a once off visitor into a long term visitor. If you are selling products related to that hobby on your website, you now have a much better way of making money than before.
If you, however, simply uses the newsletter to try and sell your readers a long list of products, without providing anything else, you will quickly see how fast people can unsubscribe from a newsletter, and how far away they will stay from your website in future. That does not mean to say you can't use your newsletter to sell things, but don't push things down your readers' throats.
Whether you have a website where you sell products, or one where you make money when people click on ads, you could use your newsletter to drive visitors to your website by setting up links to the site in your newsletter. You could even make money directly from the newsletter by including your affiliate links in the body of the newsletter, but don't overdo this. The reader should never feel that he is being pushed to buy things - he must feel he makes that decision himself.
Should your newsletter become very popular, you will also not have a big problem in finding advertisers who want to advertise their products or services in there.
If you really have expert knowledge about a certain subject, you should first start by developing a website around this subject. You could either give some information away for free on the website, and then charge people a small amount of money to sign up for your newsletter. Alternatively you could use the newsletter as a "taster" to entice people to sign up for in-depth content on your website.
Once you know how to make money by creating newsletters, you can do it over and over again. It's not quite as easy as printing money, but with the right approach it can become close!
