Here's the genuine story behind the Apple iPad. Want to comprehend the beginning of the Apple Ipad? About ten years ago Bill Gates made his way onto a large stage and held in the palm of his hand a type of computer entirely strange to those in the audience. Its shape was flat, and even more unusual, it was without a keyboard. He then started to inform everyone what appeared to be an almost entirely unconvinced audience that in the near future, this foreign looking computing device would become very popular.

That was in 2000. Bill Gates was introducing the world to something Microsoft called the Tablet PC. Microsoft went to the electronics show once again the following year and revealed it again to an unconvinced audience.

Microsoft's new computer never became a household name. For good reason, it was really just a netbook computer, and not a particularly powerful one at that! What's more, it was missing a keyboard. Now Apple has come up with a version of Microsoft's Tablet PC with the introduction of the iPad. So what's so great about the iPad?

So what is an iPad?. Apple has taken a computer, gotten rid of a keyboard, and flattened it out. It has impressive power considering how small it actually is with a processor somewhere in between the power of the iPhone and a netbook, but more resembling the netbook. The iPad is definitely thin being just half an inch at its thickest area. It is pretty light, at merely 1.5 lbs. It operates on an operating system that can be considered as a souped up version as the one within the iPhone. Its displaying ability consists of a very good touch screen that is ultrabright with extraordinary resolution remarkable since the screen is no more than 9.7 inches.

The iPad is a very versatile device, like being able to do web-browsing, e-mailing, photo storage, music and game playing, word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, and display e-books. Yes, other devices can do the same things, some even better.

The dissimilarity between the iPad and all the other wannabes exists in what can be done with the iPad and cannot be achieved by the use of other devices. To begin with, it is very portable, meaning it can be picked up with ease. It fits on your lap perfectly. You can pass it to someone else like it was a notepad. It can be easily be placed on a coffee table. You can put it in a small bag. You can just use one hand and read it on a train. I think by now, you get the picture.

So why is the iPad in such huge demand today compared to ten years ago when the Microsoft tablet was released? The answer lies with Apple's capabilities With the new version of the Tablet computer, Apple had all the technology advancements to make it work. It's display technology is breathtaking. It has expertise that is unmatched in low power electronic engineering that other companies would give almost anything to have. As an illustration, the iPad can function for an remarkable ten hours of web surfing being charged just once. On top of all of this, it has its patented multitouch technology integrated in the iPad. Other companies attempts to match this technology have always failed badly.
So, can you see why the Apple iPad is such a big success? Want to try out an iPad?
