Kesha, one of the leading pop stars in America has come up with her new studio album Animal. Composed by Lukasz Gottwald and Claude Kelly and produced by Dr Luke, this video album was released on July 13th 2010 and is known to be rocking the music world.
Unlike others, Kesha is an established pop signer with a proven track record and experience of working with wide variety of producers and writers. However, production and making of Animal is different from the other numbers delivered by her so far. This album is a perfect fusion between dance pop genre and electro and electro pop.
The theme of majority of songs included in this album have been the outcome of past life experiences of Kesha which includes elements like love, heartbreak, boys and fun time. Four singles have been released from this album one of which is Take it off. This is in fact the fourth single of this album that was released on 13th July 2010.
In United States, Animal secured number one position on the Billboard 200 with its sales touching 152,000 in the month of Jan 2010. This ranking made Kesha the first pop artist who secured number one position both in her debut album and single.
With the Take it off video, the entertainment industry has witnessed the rise of a new star. The music of this video is very unique as it is a perfect blend of electro infused beat and furious crescendos.
This video was filmed on July 1st 2010 and was directed by Paul Hunter and Dori Oskowitz. In an exclusive interview given, Kesha explained the entire theme involved in Take it off video. She told that this video is all about Kesha and her friends breaking into a hotel located in another planet and towards the end, they all return into the beautiful stardust.
Take it off does not mean taking away all your clothes. In fact there is lot more to it as the actual message of this video is to shed away all your inhibitions and appear raw and real. As part of the promotion of this album, Kesha did lot of performances including one on MTV push.
On the whole the album Animal received mixed reactions from audience and critics. Some felt that this number Take it off is exclusively made for the dance floor as it is hard for anyone to resist themselves from taking off. However one of the most common complaints from critics was that the entire demonstration was overly processed vocals.
People who are fascinated by the music and unique beats of this number felt that it is a carefree number where one can enjoy the music and lyrics of the song and dance to its catchiness.
