People everywhere and everyday get angry about something. The ability to keep yourself from over reacting in anger does not happen overnight, it takes practice. I am going to give you tips to help you cope with your anger in a different way.
There are many things that cause us to get angry. A few of those things are low self esteem, jealousy, failures and getting into yelling fights. If you know you are about to get angry then avoid that situation. Simply walk away, this way you will not get angry.
In order to manage you anger better, one suggestion is to keep a journal. Every day write down what you feel and how you are feeling. This is one way to gauge what triggers you to get angry at someone. Another, more physical way is to work out and exercise. This will make you mentally and physically feel better
A great way to reduce your anger or stress is to dance. That is correct dancing. After dancing or working out, you will feel better, and your muscles will thank you for it. By taking a brisk walk or run around the block, the affect will be the same as dancing.
Think seriously about changing the way you think about anger. Only you know what it is that sets you off. If a certain person sets you off, then cut them out of your life. If you are using your coping skills, you will be a changed person. Can you imagine not getting angry or upset at anyone? It can be done.
These are just a few of the many positive things you can do to cope with your anger. By understanding why you get angry, and then knowing how to keep yourself from boiling over is key. By practicing a few of the positive ways, you will be able to cope better in the future.
