Keyword optimization is an important task that you have to implement. Every website must be optimized with keyword. If you don’t do research on the keyword, you will find that your website is not receiving any visitor. In fact, the only visitor that visits the site is the webmaster. The novice webmasters will feel confused why their website is not visited by anyone. Once you have detected the problem, you must quickly take action to solve the problem. To solve this problem, you must optimize the title tag, mete description and content with keyword. In order to find the targeted keyword, you have to do keyword research.
The first thing that you have to do is to compile a list of keywords to be used to rank your products. It is best that you aim for multiple keywords rather than single keyword. To find the keyword, you have to use a keyword research tool. There are many keyword research tools, for example keyword discovery, Google keyword research tool, keyword samurai and others. Besides the free keyword research tool, you can use a paid keyword tool. You have to enter a keyword that is relevant to your product in the search box in the keyword research tool. For example, if you want to find the keyword for a page about how to feed rabbit, you will want to enter the keyword “rabbit feed”. Once you hit enter, you will find a list of keyword suggestion that contain the keyword terms you just searched for. If there is no keyword suggestion for the keyword, you can try enter other search terms.
Next, you have to check the competition of the keyword. Keyword research tool such as Google adwords keywords let you know the competition of each keyword. Some free keyword research tool don’t show the competition of the keyword. If you don’t want to use Google keyword research tool, you have to buy a commercial keyword research tool. If you are using Google keyword research tool, you can click on the competition tab to rearrange the competition of the keyword. By clicking on the competition tab, it will rearrange the competition of the keyword from the lowest to the highest. It is best to use low competition keywords. If the keyword has too much competition, you will find hard to rank for it.
The high competition keyword is already dominated by the authoritative websites. The authoritative websites have existed on the search engine for many years so they will always outrank new websites. The low competition keyword is easier to rank. Even if you don’t rank on the top position, you will rank on the second or third position. The lower the competition of the keyword, the more chance you will have to rank on the targeted keyword. Keyword with low competition usually has a lot of words. The long tail keyword has 4 keywords or more. Short tail keywords have 1 – 3 keywords. The low competition keywords refer to those that have less than 5000 competition.
