In the beginning all vacuum cleaners were bagless. All vacuum cleaners only used a cloth dirt bag to contain the particles and dirt and pet hair. They leaked dust and odors, but they were significantly better than utilizing nothing at all. Subsequently paper bags were introduced to very dramatically cut down on the airborne dirt and dust. The paper bags were a enormous step up because they cut down on the odors kept in the fabric outer bag, and the filth and dirt could be thrown away with out a dust cloud forming around the vacuum cleaner.
Around 1985 the bagless vacuum cleaner grew to become accepted. First, bagless vacuums had a well-defined benefit over bagged vacuum cleaners. The HEPA filter material that all bagless vacuums utilize stops nearly all the airborne debris and odors from leaking out the vacuum exhaust. The excellent news was that the HEPA filters stopped up airborne debris from spewing out. The terrible news is that they clogged up promptly. They clogged faster if the air flow had high moisture or if you were sucking up family pet dander and hair. The dog and cat pet dander sticks to the filtration system and restricts air movement. The slowing air movement is also the thing that cooled the motor. The motors in bagless vacuums tend not to survive as long as bagged vacuums owing to this restricted airflow to the motor in bagless vacuum cleaners.
Now we have a local business selling vacuums and filters in Wooster Ohio. The two primary reasons buyers ask us about bagless vacuums is: 1) The buyers want to save money on paper bags, or 2) The customers want less dust. Bagless vacuums similar to the Dyson, need a HEPA filter to impede the dirt. These filters are quite efficient. The filters also have to be discarded no less than yearly (more often if you have small kids or dogs or cats) and, the filters aren't inexpensive, $29 - $59 each one. It will be not possible to spend as much for bags. High filtration paper bags can cost you a dollar or two apiece. You may spend less money on the bags than for the bagless filters, even when you swap the bags regularly.
Less airborne dirt and dust? Do you have waste cans at home? Do you have waste can bags? Why? Because it's more clean whenever you throw out the paper liner rather than of dumping the container with all the airborne debris being tossed into the air. Nearly all high end vacuum cleaners currently use micron filtration liners along with a HEPA filter material at the exhaust of the vacuum. The micron filtration liners offer excellent filtration, and they do not clog up and limit airflow such as HEPA filters in bagless vacuum cleaners. The HEPA filter at the exhaust takes much longer to get sullied since the dirt is ensnared in the high filtration paper liner.
Not nearly as expensive vacuum cleaners are virtually all without a bag. The revenue is in the filters, not the disposable vacuum cleaners. The higher end vacuum cleaners almost all use high filtration inner bags. The exclusion to this is the Dyson. It is a well designed vacuum that is definitely not low-priced. Starting at about $399, they are the top of the line in bagless vacuums.
If you happen to own dogs or cats, the pet dander is what sticks to the bagless HEPA filters. We also recommend to pet owners that they own a vacuum with a charcoal filtration system to block and counteract the family pet odors. Moreover, natural fiber brushes on your vacuum's roller brush will not trap the puppy fur in the roller.
Of course we certainly hope these thoughts help you.
