We are three weeks aloof from the annual Hell In a Cell PPV and at this point we have the Bragging Rights PPV.
The Hell In a Cell PPV was very disappointing in my view, quite simply because there is no 'hell' inside the cell anymore thanks to WWE's mollycoddling attitude. We had a useless Paul Bearer heel turn and two substandard HIAC matches. Indeed, the only pleasant things about the PPV reallywasthe US title match, Edge vs. Swagger and Cena joining Nexus. That's whyI gave it a 6/10 overall.
Currently it's time for "Bragging Rights" once again, and WWE haveputup apracticalcard for the event, though nothing really special.
The thing thatsurprisedme was WWE makinga Buried Alive bout for the PPV. Let me get this even, this is a PG company wherever chair shots to the head areolden times, blood is banned, swearing outlawed and, most importantly, being family-friendly is thegenerallyprominent part of the programming.
So can you establishwhy I amreallyshocked at the sheer hypocrisy inmakinga Buried Alive match? That is more or less as anti-PG as it ever gets. Portraying a scene on television where singleman is publicly buried alive is conversational in itself.
Watch WWE Bragging Rights Now!-->>> http://watchstreamsonline.webstarts.com/wwe_access.html being said, I am delighted it is happening. I have constantly enjoyed new adult-rated wrestling. Itabsolutelyannoys me how WWE continually contradict their own 'values, notablyto this extreme
The show began with the participants in the Bragging Rights match in the ring with Teddy Long. Long said for the first time he wouldn'tbe building the matches tonight and agree to the matches be decided by the wrestlers.
The Miz claimed the ratings would go up because of his appearance tonight on the B-Show and said that in a 6-man tag match he'll team with Ezekiel Jackson and theex-WWE Champion Sheamus.
Big Showansweredby picking Kofi Kingston and Rey Mysterio as his partners for the match. Edge chimed in andmadea matchconcerninghimself and CM Punk, who wasn't too pleased.
John Morrisoncameback from promo school and cuta shortbutsweet piece on Alberto Del Rio and challenged him to a contest.
As a final point, Jack Swagger said he would face Santino who has themost evilfinisher in the WWE and promissed to wipe the uni-brow off his face. R-Truth wasn't on the show like RAW, so Tyler Reks does not get a match tonight.
6-Man Tag TeamBout
Theprimarilymatch of the night was the six-man tag team match and we kicked off with Sheamus and Rey Mysterio, the Celtic Warrior wasimpressiveearly on throwing Rey Mysterio all over the place.
It's remorseless to considerthat both men had been World Champions as the size distinction is mind-blowing.
Rey in the end tagged in Kofi, who cameinwith ashareof momentum and knocked Sheamus out of the ring. Rey hit a divingincidentoff the apron onto Sheamus as we goneto the break.
When we came in return, Jackson was overriding Kofi Kingston, and the commentators were positively making Jacksonseemgood, talking him up since his come back to WWE this previous week. Jackson tagged in Miz who corned Kofi fora fewattacks rather than tagging in Sheamus.
