The annual ski vacation is a tradition for many families who enjoy the mountains and like to spend time with their family in a picturesque ski town over the holidays. Most visitors stop skiing or snowboarding by 3:30PM so the most crowded places in a resort town from 4:00PM to 8:00PM are ski rental shops, the liquor store, and the grocery store. Locals try to avoid making trips to stores like this over the busy time because the wait at the cash register can be a 30min. to 60min. wait.
Now what if your hopes for fresh snow are answered as you arrive into town. Six inches of fresh powder is nice on the slopes but only makes running around town a more difficult task than it would be otherwise. Add a 2 to 3 hour flight delay, a problem with the rental car agency, traffic delay from the airport to Park City, or tired and fussy children, and you`ll wonder if this ski vacation is your last ski vacation.
The possibility for delays is always there, but it doesn`t have to affect your long awaited vacation.
